Corona Update 22 June: In the last 24 hours, 42,640 new cases of corona were reported in India, which is the lowest figure since 23 March. These figures were released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday. The declining trend of coronavirus infections continues.

In the last 24 hours, 1,167 deaths have been reported across the country. This is the fifth consecutive day in the last two months that the number is below the 2,000 mark. On 23 March, India had registered 47,262 cases while on 22 June India reported 53,256 cases. The total number of corona affected people in India is now 2,99,77,861. The active cases of corona have now come down to 8 lakhs. The country currently has 6,62,521 active cases and 3,89,302 deaths so far.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 81,839 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 2,89,26,038 people discharged so far. The Health Ministry said that a total of 28,87,66,201 people have been vaccinated in the country so far, of which 86,16,373 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. Corona Update 22 June
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 39,40,72,142 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till June 21. Of these, 16,64,360 samples were tested on Monday.
