New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has recalled its best-selling sedan, the DZire specially designed for commercial vehicle Tus S, due to a safety issue in the DZire Tour S model.
166 units of the Maruti Dzire Tour S have been recalled because of a defect in its airbag. However, there are no issues with the engine and performance of the popular sedan and the company has decided to recall the passenger vehicle as a precautionary safety measure and then hand it over to the customers to get it repaired.
Where’s the problem?
Maruti Suzuki’s DZire sedan is one of the best selling cars, with a good amount of sales every month. Looking at the figures of the last month itself, the company has sold more than 13000 Dzire in July. Those who want to drive the DZire for commercial use, i.e. in a fleet or in a cab room, go for the DZire Tour S variant, which is also available with a CNG option. Recently, the company came to know about the defect in the airbag of Desire Tour S and then the company decided to recall 166 units. All these cars were manufactured between August 6 and August 16.
