Khatima: As tourism related activities have increased here, cases of prostitution are also coming to the fore. Latest case is of Rajiv Nagar of Khatima, where Uttarakhand Anti-human Trafficking team busted sex racket late on Tuesday evening. During this, team has arrested a youth, including three call girls, from a house. Local people alleged that unethical prostitution was going on in the house.
Four accused were produced in the court after taking action under Immoral Trade Act. In fact, the Anti Human Trafficking team had received information that some women were doing immoral acts in Kapoor Colony, Rajivnagar. Due to which environment of area is deteriorating. It is having bad effect on children and youth.
On receiving the complaint, an team was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Basanti Arya of Anti Human Trafficking Team. On Tuesday, when the team raided the house, a youth was found in an objectionable condition along with two women. Incriminating material was also found from the spot.
Team recovered mobiles, bikes, 17 thousand 300 rupees and goods of four different companies from the possession of the accused. One youth and three women have been arrested for prostitution. The arrested youth was identified as Nand Kishore Maurya, a resident of Bandia Jamour.
oung men and women told that they are indulging in this business for a long time to earn more money in less time. A woman was operating a sex racket. The police have registered a case against the four accused under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956.
