Their bodies have been recovered, while 3 climbers are still missing. The continuous snowfall in the area is causing problems in the rescue operation. On Thursday, the rescue team recovered 15 bodies from Dokrani Bamak glacier area. Four bodies were recovered on the day of incident itself.

During this an avalanche occurred, due to which 29 members were missing after being hit by the avalanche. The rescue operation started at the spot from around 7.30 am on Thursday.
Team of SDRF, NDRF, ITBP, which went on foot, had reached a distance of three hours from the spot on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the rescue team reached the spot at around 7.30 pm and started the rescue operation. While the team of High Altitude War Welfare School Gulmarg landed directly on the spot from Matli helipad.
15 bodies were recovered from Uttarakhand avalanche. On receiving this information, the relatives gathered at the helipad crying and crying.
After a while the family returned disappointed. 42 of NIM, 12 of ITBP, 8 of SDRF, 14 of High Altitude Warfare School Gulmarg (Hodge) and 12 members of Army are engaged in the rescue operation at the site of the incident.
