Tehri Garhwal News: Sensation spread in Tehri after dead body of a pregnant woman was found in forest. Woman was missing for last 50 days. Now her skeleton has been recovered from among the bushes in forest.
Deceased is said to be three to four months pregnant. Family members of woman identified by her clothes. Family members of deceased have filed a case against the in-laws, fearing murder of daughter.
On the complaint of father of deceased, police have registered case under sections of dowry death. Incident is of Jamani village of Tholdhar block.
Gabar Singh, who lives in village here, had informed his in-laws on August 5 about missing of her wife Saraswati Devi (27).
On this father of Saraswati Devi, resident of Dhanaulti Sinjal village and other relatives reached Jamani village the next day, but before their arrival, in-laws had lodged missing report.
Even after searching for several days, married woman could not be found. Last Saturday, some women of village were going to the forest for fodder leaves.
Then he saw human skeleton among bushes 500 meters away from village. On information, police team and revenue department reached the spot.
Incident was also reported to Saraswati Devi’s father Vijaypal and husband Gabar Singh. Both told on basis of clothes that this skeleton is of Saraswati Devi.
After which police sent skeleton to the hospital for examination. Meanwhile, father of deceased, Vijaypal has leveled serious allegations against Saraswati’s husband.
He told that his daughter was married in the year 2019. After marriage, her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law started harassing her for dowry.
Saraswati was three to four months pregnant. She came to her maternal home on July 9 after getting angry with her husband.
We understood and extinguished then sent her to in-laws’ house on July 24. Relatives said that in-laws killed Saraswati for dowry. In this matter, case of dowry murder has been registered against five people including the husband of deceased, Gabar Singh.
