Ankita Murder Case: SIT on Friday filed an application in the court to conduct a narco test on the killers of Ankita Bhandari. The court will hear this on Monday. It is being told that yes or no can be decided on Monday itself.
In the Ankita murder case, since the beginning, there has been a demand for the disclosure of the name of the VIP. There have also been allegations against the police that the names of VIPs are not being revealed intentionally. Various political parties have also raised this matter.
In such a situation, the relatives had demanded a narco test of the accused a few days ago. The SIT had also started considering this. Recently, ADG Law and Order V Murugesan had also said that the SIT has decided to conduct a narco test to know the name of the VIP.
ADG Murugesan told that an application has been submitted to the court on Friday for the narco test. The court will hear both the parties on this application on Monday. Only after this a decision can be taken whether to conduct the narco test or not. The police have completed their preparations. They have full grounds for demanding narco test. There are many such questions which the police need answers from the accused.
Please tell that on September 18, Pauri resident Ankita Bhandari went missing from the resort. For three days, the Patwari police hesitated in the matter, then on the night of September 21, the investigation was handed over to the regular police. Police investigation revealed that Ankita was killed by pushing her into the canal on the night of 18 September itself.
The SIT was constituted in this matter on the orders of the Chief Minister. The SIT, headed by DIG P Renuka Devi, arrested Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort, and two of his accomplices. For three to three days, the police had also interrogated them in custody.
