Bareilly: Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that in order to more than double the income of farmers and poultry farmers on the lines of Giri Village model, organic eggs will be produced here which will be cheaper and more nutritious than normal eggs.

Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Giriraj Singh inaugurated the Giri Village Technology Park at the Central Bird Research Institute (CARI) on Friday.
On this occasion he also saw the ongoing projects in CARI. Giri Village model has been prepared in one acre of land, in which 2500 chickens will be kept.
He said that the Giri Village model has been prepared by the scientists of CARI and this model will be implemented across the country. Under this, organic eggs will be prepared at half the cost. With this, while chickens will get natural and protein-rich food, people will get organic eggs at affordable rates.
Antibiotic and insecticide prepared grains are also in the diet of chickens on poultry farms. In such a situation, along with the egg protein of chickens, can give some unwanted chemical substances and diseases caused by them to the body. At the same time, organic eggs will be free from diseases and beneficial for health.
On this occasion, Dr. Raj Narayan, Principal Scientist of this project told that organic eggs will be more nutritious and cheaper, for this poultry farmers will be able to get good price in return for them.
Due to more natural food for chickens, the expenditure on diet will also reduce. He said that under the National Agricultural Development Project, the Central Government has given its approval.
CARI Director Dr AK Tiwari said that the village project is the thinking of the Union Minister, which has been brought to the ground by the scientists of CARI. Union Minister Giriraj Singh also took a meeting with the scientists to inaugurate this project.
