Mulayam Singh Yadav Funeral: Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was three-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, died on Monday at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He was 82 years old. He had been ill for several days. At present, his body is kept for sight at ground pandal of Saifai.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Governor and the Uttar Pradesh government by laying a wreath on the body of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Yogi said that Mulayam Singh Yadav ji was a belligerent, struggling and an important pillar associated with socialist ideology.
He grew up with the struggles and remained the focal point of the politics of the state for five decades. He played an important role in the politics of the country and the state for a long time. Yogi had also said that on the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Uttar Pradesh government announces three days of state mourning. His last rites will be performed with full state honor.
