Lucknow: Yogi govt will give ten lakhs compensation to the dependents of Deceased journalists by Corona

Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to provide financial assistance of ten lakh rupees to the dependents of journalists who have died due to premature death due to corona.

Chief Minister’s information advisor Mrityunjay Kumar shared this information on Twitter. He wrote, “On Hindi Journalism Day, CM Yogi gave instructions for financial assistance of 10 lakhs for the families of the deceased journalists of Corona.”

Official sources said that CM Yogi issued these instructions in the regular meeting of team-9 regarding Corona management.

Significantly, in the deadly second wave of Corona, a large number of journalists in Uttar Pradesh and other districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, lost their lives due to Corona infection.

The Association of Journalists requested the Chief Minister to provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased journalists.

Appreciating the decision of CM Yogi on the occasion of Journalism Day, Hemant Tiwari, President of Accredited Journalists Association, General Secretary Sivasharan Singh and Joint Secretary Vijay Tripathi said that they had submitted the list of journalists suffering from Corona infection while some Documents about it will be handed over soon.
