Azamgarh: A two-minute silence was observed in program to pay tribute to the martyr farmers. After this, representatives of various farmer organizations under aegis of United Kisan Morcha submitted memorandum to the Prime Minister through District Magistrate. Farmers demanded that Ajay Mishra Taini, main conspirator of the Lakhimpur Kheri murder case, should be sacked from the post of Union Minister of State for Home and with the release of innocent farmers from jail, that false cases against them should be withdrawn.
Speakers said that, last year on this day cart was overturned on farmers returning after peaceful agitation in Tikonia, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Four farmers and a journalist were martyred in this incident, more than 13 farmers were badly injured.
There was a well-planned conspiracy behind this incident which was hatched by Bahubali Ajay Mishra Teni along with his son Ashish Mishra Teni. There were protests across the country against this misdeed, during the last rites of martyr farmers, government reached agreement on some demands with farmer leaders, but neither central government nor state government paid any attention to those demands.
On completion of 75 years of independence, these demands were also repeated in Lakhimpur Mahapadav, then district administration also promised to hold meeting with state government by the end of August, but till date Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh government or officials involved in agreement they did not get time to hold meetings with farmer leaders.
Today it has been year since planned murder of those five farmers of Lakhimpur, but justice has not been served yet. Forcibly today, farmers’ organizations across the country once again reiterated demands of following justice for martyr farmers of Lakhimpur:
1. Ajay Mishra Taini, main conspirator of Lakhimpur massacre, should be sacked from the post of Union Minister of State for Home and he should be immediately arrested and sent to jail.
No action was taken on various aspects of the complaint filed by us, FIR No. 219/21, regarding the incident of October 3. Ajay Mishra Taini is the only culprit whose objectionable statement led the farmers to register a protest in Tikonia on 3 October. He himself threatened to drive out the farmers of a particular religion from Lakhimpur Kheri from the open stage in a meeting on 25 September 2021, which was a completely unconstitutional crime. In the findings of the investigation of the SIT, 120B i.e. a well-planned conspiracy of murder has been accepted. Despite this, efforts are on by your government to save Ajay Mishra Taini, and the most shameful thing is that he continues to be a Union Minister till date. Not only this, the derogatory and hostile rhetoric of Ajay Mishra towards the farmers continues even today. You are requested to immediately sack Ajay Mishra from the cabinet and send him to jail on the charges of being the main conspirator of the Lakhimpur massacre.
2. Immediate release of jailed farmers and return of fake cases, Police Commissioner Lucknow Niranjan Kumar, Senior IG Police Laxmi Singh, then DM, S. s. The conversation that our leaders had with P. In the context of the allegations of murder being leveled against the farmers by the attackers, the police administration will not arrest the farmers considering the incident as a serious and sudden act of provocation and the farmers whose The assailants have got their names written in the murder, making them accused under section 304A and will give them bail immediately. Contrary to assurances, four of our comrades are still in jail under Section 302 IPC and cannot get bail, for this, the public prosecutors constantly plead in the court. We want to tell you once again that it is the fundamental right of every citizen to protect his life. For some reason your government is not ready to recognize it and it is suppressing the farmers with the intention of intimidating them. We request you to give proper bail to these four comrades and get them acquitted.
3. Fulfill the promise of financial help and government jobs to the families of martyr farmers and injured
The government’s representative officials had assured that the state government would give a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the next of kin of each of the martyred companions and a government job to one member of the family and Rs 10 lakh to all the injured.
But it is a matter of great regret that the government has given only Rs 45 lakh compensation to the families of the 5 martyred comrades. Your government is constantly refusing to fulfill all other assurances. The state government has not yet given any compensation to the 13 comrades who were injured in this incident, nor has they given government jobs to any of the families of the 5 farmer companions who were martyred.
Not only this, there have been murderous attacks on the witnesses related to this incident, there have been conspiracies to intimidate and intimidate the farmers leaders who are lobbying. The United Kisan Morcha has urged the government to firmly protect all the witnesses of the incident and the advocating farmer leaders, which should be done so that the martyr farmers can get justice.
In the program, Dukhharan Ram, Rabindra Nath Rai, Ka. Nandlal, Rajiv Yadav, Rajesh Azad, Ramraj, Dan Bahadur Maurya, Rahul Vidyarthi, Vinod Yadav, Mukesh, Avadhesh Yadav, Rajesh Yadav etc. kept their words.
