Rudraprayag: Sanctum of Kedarnath temple is ready to be decorated with gold. According to reports, an donor from Maharashtra has donated gold for Kedarnath temple. Due to which the sanctum of temple is being decorated with gold. Badri-Kedar temple committee is calling it a constructive work, while pilgrim priests are strongly opposed to putting gold in sanctum of temple.

He said that the concern of the Teerth Purohit society is about the security of walls of sanctum of the temple. He said that even those who are supporting are members in the Badri-Kedar temple committee, so it is natural to support them, but all other pilgrim priests are opposing it. Senior pilgrim priest Anand Shukla said that none of the pilgrim priests of Kedarnath Dham are in favor of putting gold in the sanctum.

Teerthpurohit Anand Shukla said that Srinivas Posti is a senior person and is presently a member of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee. Therefore, statement has to be given by him in support. Temple committee can definitely get gold installed

On the roof of the temple, top Kalash of temple, Lord’s Jaleri, Chhatra, Aarti’s diya etc. can be made of gold metal, but the temple committee will not be allowed to tamper with the security of the temple. All the pilgrims of Kedarnath will oppose it in one voice.

On the other hand, Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee President Ajendra Ajay has justified that the sanctum of Kedarnath temple should be decorated with gold. He said that the argument over this creative work is not justified. He appealed to everyone to cooperate in this work.
