Dehradun: Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi districts were provided additional doses of Covid-19 vaccine before the “Chardham Yatra” begins in Uttarakhand from July 1. Chardham is situated in these three districts of Uttarakhand.

Additional supplements were also provided to Pauri and Tehri districts, which fall on the way to Chardham.
An official statement said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, additional doses of vaccines have been provided to these districts.
According to the statement, Uttarakhand Chief Minister wants to vaccinate everyone associated with “Chardham Yatra” on priority basis, including priests, shopkeepers, roadside dhabas, local residents, pontoons operators, cab drivers etc.
5,000 doses have been provided to Chamoli, 10,000 to Uttarkashi and 5,000 to Rudraprayag, the statement said.
Badrinath is located in Chamoli, Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarkashi and Kedarnath in Rudraprayag.
Uttarakhand state cabinet on Friday decided to partially start the Chardham Yatra for the local people from July 1.
