Incident that happened with a girl in resort located in Gangabhogpur in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district is matter of shame for humanity and tarnishing the identity of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. This clearly shows that criminals are getting protection under the BJP rule in the state. Congress state spokesperson Deepak Balutia has said this in a statement issued to the press.
He says that law and order situation in state has completely collapsed. Incidents of atrocities on women are increasing continuously in BJP government giving slogan of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’. Criminals are being protected under the BJP government. The incident of heinous crime with daughter of the state in resort of BJP leader located at Chila Barrage Gangabhogpur is living example of this.
Women are becoming insecure under BJP rule
Balutia said that non-registration of missing report of the girl who went missing on September 19, 2022 by the local police even for four days is a matter of serious concern for the safety of women in the state. He said that a case should be registered against the culprits of this shameful incident which took place in the resort located at Gangabhogpur in Yamkeshwar block. He said that women are becoming insecure under the BJP rule.
Such heinous crimes are continuously increasing in the hilly areas of the state. Earlier, after the incident of rape of woman and her daughter in Kapkot of Bageshwar, Kashipur and Kichha of Udhamsinghnagar, Tharali of Chamoli, Jakhan of Dehradun and Haridwar, now incident happened with girl in resort located in Gangabhogpur of Yamkeshwar block. ‘Beti Padhao-Beti Bachao’ has been opened up. He has demanded strict action from state government and police by arresting culprits of this heinous incident in Ganga Bhogpur at earliest.
Balutia said that on the call of State Congress President Karan Mahra, it has been decided to burn effigies of BJP government in all district and city headquarters on Saturday, 24 September in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in state and increasing incidents of atrocities on women.
