Post-mortem report of BJP leader Sonali Phogat has revealed that she was forcefully given drugs. In connection with the death of Sonali Phogat, the police have registered a case of murder against two of her associates. His family had been suspecting murder from day one.
Goa Police IGP Omvir Singh Bishnoi said that we have recovered the CCTV footage in which Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder are seen partying with Sonali. Sonali was forcibly given drugs. Sukhwinder has admitted that Sonali was given drugs in the form of liquid.
What did the police say?
The police officer said that the evidence of the kind of allegations the family members were making have not been found. Some people from Mumbai were also going to meet Sonali. There was no specific injury, due to which the doctor had earlier told the cause of death to be a heart attack. It appeared in the CCTV that many people had come to the party. It is not yet known which drugs were given. He said that Sonali was taken from the club to the hotel by a taxi driver.
Both the accused were arrested
The police officer said that we have arrested both the accused under sections 302 and 34 of IPC. The video showed that an alleged accused was forcibly making the victim drink something. Let us tell you that after the death of Sonali Phogat, her family members had accused her of murder and demanded a CBI inquiry.
The Haryana government also agreed to conduct a CBI inquiry. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has said that the recommendation for a CBI inquiry will be sent to the central government as soon as the family’s written demand is received. Sonali Phogat’s last rites have been performed today where her only daughter Yoshadhara lit her by fire.
