Udaipur. A refugee worker who was quarantined due to Coronavirus from the district administration committed suicide by hanging himself in a room late Saturday. Deceased was quarantined at Gitanjali Institute after the lockdown. Deceased is said to be Vishnu, 20 son of Tej Singh, a resident of Shahabad, UP.
DSP Boraj Singh Bhati, who reached on spot, told that Vishnu used to work in a hotel in Surat. After the lockdown, he left for home with his teammates. After his arrival in Udaipur, he was quarantined at Gitajanli Institute authorized by the administration. There are currently 182 refugees here.
Vishnu had dinner with his companions. His companions are also residents of his village. Companions went to sleep after dinner. Vishnu was walking there at night. Late in the night on fourth floor of institute, he hanged himself with a sheet. When he was not found in the morning, he was searched, and later his dead body was found hanging in the room. The body is being sent to his village.
Vishnu broke his mobile
ADSC Ataurrahman said Vishnu, who was quarantined due to Coronavirus, later suicide, his partner Yogeshwar was also living with him. After having dinner, the two had a normal conversation till 12 noon. After this Yogeshwar fell asleep. Late night, Vishnu went to another room and hanged himself. If Yogeshwar did not find him in the morning, then he searched and found its suicided. Cause of suicide is being investigated. He used to talk to his family members every day on mobile. On Friday, he broke his mobile on some personal matters.
The family of Vishnu has been informed. No family member lives in Udaipur. Some people from the deceased’s village are also quarantined. After the post-mortem, body will be sent to the village.
