Chandigarh: A girl has been caught red handed while making a video from inside the hostel girls bathroom in Chandigarh University. Video of this incident has been posted on the social site by a student of the university itself. The girl is also accused of sending objectionable videos to someone. After this incident, students of Chandigarh University created a ruckus in the night.
Hostel girls students raised slogans against the university administration. In view of the uproar, police were called to the spot. An alleged suicide attempt by a university student has also been reported. However, the university management denied this, saying that a student had fainted during the uproar. What is the matter: There was a ruckus at Chandigarh University in Mohali, Punjab on Saturday midnight. A student studying here made a video viral of about 60 girl students taking a bath. She had sent this video to her friend living in Shimla. He made it viral on social media. On knowing this, 8 girl students tried to commit suicide, who were immediately admitted to the hospital. Both girls who sent video and her friend who made it viral are from Himachal Pradesh. Police has taken student who sent video into custody.

BJP leader Som Prakash tweeted and said, ‘Unfortunate incident. Police should take serious action against the people involved in this incident so that such incidents do not happen again.

Mohali SSP Vivek Sonik’s statement: There has been no suicide attempt or death. A girl student was taken in ambulance. She was worried. Our team is in touch with him. Apart from video of a student, no other video has come to our notice.
SSP Vivek Soni’s statement said that we had received a complaint that a video has been made by a student here, there has been some uproar about it, we have registered an FIR in this matter. Students has been taken into custody. There is evidence in this that we have to collect. It has also come to the fore that girl used to send videos to someone in Shimla. We are also investigating in that matter and trying to find out why this video was being sent.
