Helicopter Crash: Pilot, Passengers belonged to Gujarat, Karnataka and Jharkhand dead

Dehradun: Additional Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Civil Aviation C Ravi Shankar informed the media that 7 people including the pilot have died in a helicopter crash accident of Aryan Aviation Helicopter Company going from Kedarnath to Guptkashi on Tuesday.

Accident happened at around 11:40 am on Tuesday

Accident happened at around 11:40 am on Tuesday. There were a total of 07 passengers including pilot Captain Anil (resident of Mumbai) among the dead. Of these, three passengers were from Gujarat, one from Karnataka and one from Jharkhand. The information of another passenger is still being collected.

At the same time, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the incident of helicopter crash in Garud Chatti near Kedarnath. The Chief Minister said that SDRF and district administration teams have reached the spot for relief and rescue work. He has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Chief Executive Officer of Civil Aviation said that full details of the cause of the accident will be received only after investigation. An inquiry has been set up at the district level. Rescue and recovery operation is being conducted at the spot by SDRF and police team. Director General of Information Shri Banshidhar Tiwari was also present on the occasion.
