Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin introduced a resolution against the imposition of Hindi in the state assembly. During this, CM Stalin said that this House urges the government not to implement the recommendations made in the report of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language submitted by its Speaker to the President.
Which is against the languages of the state including Tamil and also against the interest of the people who speak those languages. BJP MLAs from the state staged a walkout after the Tamil Nadu Assembly passed a resolution against the imposition of Hindi.
Presented reports of different commissions of inquiry
The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday tabled in the Assembly the reports of separate commissions of inquiry looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and the 2018 police firing in Thoothukudi in the state.
The Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission, which inquired into the circumstances of Jayalalithaa’s death in 2016, said in its closing remarks that VK Sasikala, the late chief minister’s confidant, “has to find the fault and order an inquiry.” Along with Sasikala, the panel has also named others.
