12th board exam cancelled in UP, CM Yogi took decision
Lucknow: Announcement of cancellation of CBSE class 12 board exam was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. After this, speculations are now being made about the 12th examination of the UP Board that this exam has also been cancelled.
If sources are to be believed, after meeting with CM Yogi on Thursday, Education Minister and Deputy CM Dr Dinesh Sharma has announced about the 12th examination of UP Board.
This year, a total of 26,09,501 candidates including 14,73,771 boys and 11,35,730 girls have been registered in the UP Board’s intermediate board examination, who were to appear in the class XII board examination.
26 lakh candidates had registered themselves for the 12th examination of the UP Board.
It is noteworthy that the state government had also cancelled the 10th class examination of the UP Board last month in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
After this, 30 lakh high school candidates will be promoted to class 11th.
Additional Chief Secretary Navneet Sehgal said that this decision was taken in a meeting held by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this regard.
State’s Secondary and Higher Education Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was also present in the meeting.
Due to Corona pandemic, 12th class exam of Board of Secondary Education Uttar Pradesh (UP Board) were also cancelled on Thursday.
Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Department, said that the 12th examination of the UP Board has also been cancelled.
This time 26,09,501 students are registered in Uttar Pradesh Board 12th.

The Supreme Court said that we are happy that the government has decided to cancel the 12th class board examinations.
The court has asked CBSE, CISCE to come out with common criteria for evaluation of class 12 students within two weeks.
