New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi alleged that Narendra Modi government at the Centre is responsible for the unemployment of crores of people in the country.
He targeted the central government under the social media campaign run by the party on the issue of unemployment.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Ab ki baar, crores of unemployed. Who’s responsible? Only and only Modi government!”
The Congress launched a social media campaign on the basis of the latest unemployment warning by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) and accused the central government of failing to save jobs.
Chief Executive Officer of CMIE Mahesh Vyas had said on Monday that as per the assessment of this research institute, the unemployment rate stood at 12 per cent in May from 8 per cent in April.
This means that about one crore Indians have lost their jobs during this period.
