Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has said that buying and burning firecrackers in the national capital can attract a fine of Rs 200 and imprisonment for 6 months.
Earlier, the Delhi Government had completely banned the production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers in Delhi till January 1, 2023. Not only this, this ban will also be applicable on online sale of firecrackers.
Prohibition on selling and buying of firecrackers
Gopal Rai had made many tweets regarding this too. In his tweet, he wrote that to save the people of Delhi from the danger of pollution, like last year, this time too, there is a complete ban on the production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers. Life can be saved.
He further said that this time there will also be a ban on online sale/delivery of firecrackers in Delhi. Last year also, the Delhi government had imposed a complete ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in the national capital from September 28 to January 1, 2022.
