New Delhi: The consolidated net profit of Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL) doubled to Rs 577 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year ended December 2021. The company has been able to register its highest ever quarterly profit on the back of strong growth across all the business segments.
Due to this, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 289 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. ABCL said in a statement that its consolidated income grew 13 per cent to Rs 6,054 crore during the quarter as against Rs 5,352 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Net profit and share of ITC
ITC Ltd on Thursday said its consolidated net profit grew 15 per cent to Rs 4,118.8 crore during the third quarter of the current financial year ended December 31, 2021.
The company told the stock exchange that it had reported a net profit of Rs 3,587.2 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
ITC Ltd said that its consolidated total income increased to Rs 18,787.72 crore during the period under review from Rs 14,670.17 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company said that its total expenses for the October-December 2021 quarter stood at Rs 13,207.28 crore, as against Rs 9,765.56 crore in the same period last year.
