Peshawar: There has been a huge explosion (Blast) in the Police Line Mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan. According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the blast took place during prayers in a mosque located in the Police Line area of Peshawar, Pakistan. A suicide bomber blew himself up after Zuhr prayers, killing 28 people and injuring 150.
Blast in mosque, 150 people injured
According to Pakistan newspaper Dawn, the blast took place on Monday afternoon in the Police Line area of Peshawar. This blast took place in a mosque, in which at least 150 people were injured and 28 died. Meanwhile, Sikandar Khan, a police officer, said that the explosion was so strong that a part of the building collapsed and many people were feared trapped under it.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
According to Lady Reading Hospital (LRC) spokesperson Mohammad Asim, the injured are being taken to the hospital. Aseem told Pakistani newspaper Dawn that the area has been completely sealed and only ambulances are being allowed to enter the area.

At the same time, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the Peshawar blast. He said that the attackers behind the incident have nothing to do with Islam. He said that terrorists want to create fear by targeting those who are doing their duty to protect Pakistan. The PM further said that the lives of those killed in the attack will not go in vain, adding that the entire nation stands united against terrorism.

At the same time, Imran Khan condemned the terrorist suicide attack and also expressed sympathy to the families of the victims. Last year also there was blast in Shia Masjid
Media reports said that the blast took place around 1:40 pm, when Zuhr prayers were being offered. It may be noted that a similar incident took place in Peshawar last year as well, when a suicide blast inside a Shia mosque in Peshawar’s Kocha Risaldar area killed 63 people.
