In northern Kosovo, at least 25 NATO-led peacekeeping forces were injured in clashes in Serbia protests while protecting three town halls.
Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said 52 Serbs were injured in the clashes, with three of them being critical. He has put the army on the highest level of alert.
The NATO-led peacekeeping force in Kosovo condemned the violence that broke out on Monday after ethnic Albanian mayors were elected in the Serb-majority district. The elections were boycotted by the Serbs.
President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani has accused her Serbian counterpart of destabilizing Kosovo.
Earlier, Kosovo Force said it has increased its presence in four municipalities of norther Kosovo following the latest developments in the area.
