Lucknow: 69 thousand assistant teacher recruitment, candidates belonging to OBC and SC category, who were suffering from reservation, gheraoed the house of Basic Education Minister Satish Dwivedi in Lucknow.
Thousands of candidates gathered outside the Basic Education Minister’s residence in Dollyganj.
Rahul Yadav, one of the candidates who came on road in teacher recruitment case, told ‘The Gandhigiri’ correspondent that, “Central and State BJP governments are allergic to the name of reservation. If they got full power, then sure all OBC and scheduled caste people’s rights will give to particular caste people. BJP is daughter of RSS, father and daughter have always been anti-reservation.”
Candidates say that the National Commission for Backward Classes has admitted in its interim report that there has been a scam of reservation of 5844 seats in teacher recruitment.
The Commission has said in its interim report that the OBC category has got only 2637 seats out of 18598 seats under the quota of 27 percent reservation.
The government has not given any reply to the National Commission for Backward Classes even after 65 days on the interim report of the reservation scam released on April 29.
The candidates are angry due to non-reservation of 27 percent for OBC category and 21 percent for SC category in recruitment.
The demand of the candidates is that the government should implement the report of the National Commission for Backward Classes. All the petitioners in the High Court should be accommodated.
Along with this, all the candidates who have lodged complaints in writing in the National Commission for Backward Classes, all those candidates should be accommodated.
