Lucknow: Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and senior leader of Samajwadi Party, has passed away today at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He was 82 years old. Due to serious health, Yadav was admitted to the Hospital.
Since 2 October, his health had remained worrisome. He was facing many problems. His death has been informed by his son and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Mulayam Singh Yadav was one of the senior leaders of the Samajwadi Sect.
Mulayam Singh Yadav as Defense Minister
Apart from being the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Yadav has also been the Defense Minister of the country. He founded the Samajwadi Party. His entire family is in politics. Since Mulayam Singh Yadav’s health deteriorated, he was constantly wished for his recovery.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had spoken to Akhilesh Yadav on the phone and his well being was to be known. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also reached the hospital and inquired about the health of Yadav. His entire family was present in the hospital since his health deteriorated.
