New Delhi: The remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September-October. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this on Saturday.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to complete the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season in the UAE in the months of September-October this year in view of the monsoon season in India,” the BCCI said in a statement. Announced on Saturday.”
The board further said, “This decision was taken at the Special General Meeting (SGM) held on Saturday, where the members unanimously agreed to resume the IPL.”
BCCI will also talk to the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the T20 World Cup to be held in India in October-November.
The statement further said, “The BCCI’s SGM has requested the officials to extend the time to the ICC to take an appropriate decision on hosting the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.”
