Rudraprayag: Talent is not a matter of age, 8-year-old Akshaj Tripathi, resident of Uttarakhand, has made this fact true. People call Akshaj as Junior Bumrah. Some time ago, an video of Akshaj went viral, in which this young cricketer was seen throwing the ball in style of Jasprit Bumrah.
Wednesday was very special day for this little cricketer. Akshaj got chance to meet John Buchanan of Australia, two-time world champion coach, in Kolkata.
This is the same John Buchanan who has won Cricket World Cup twice for Australia. Akshaj’s happiness knew no bounds when he met coach John Buchanan. Excited Akjaj asked John Buchanan all the questions related to cricket and John Buchanan also patiently answered his questions. John Buchanan also gave bowling tips to junior Bumrah Akshaj Tripathi.
He gave tips to Akshaj Tripathi about the grip of the ball, in swinger, out swinger, reverse swing, straight ball throwing. His father DP Tripathi informed about this meeting of son Akshaj Tripathi with cricket coach John Buchanan through post on Facebook.
He writes that this meeting with Buchanan Sir was no less than a dream. It did not seem that Akshaj was meeting him for the first time. John Sir’s love for Akshaj is clearly visible in each and every picture locked in camera.
His coming to India and remembering Akshaj in very first meeting is matter of pride for our entire Uttarakhand. Let us tell you that Akshaj Tripathi is native of Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand and lives in Yamuna Colony of Dehradun.
In January 2021, John Buchanan also shot some videos of Aksaj for his sports gear company ‘Launch T’ on the grounds of cricket academy in Dehradun and private school. Many cricketers, including Australia’s legendary cricketer Mike Hussey, have praised Akshaj’s game.
