For Durga Pooja many of Pandals (Temporary Temple for worship) are decorates everywhere on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra and Navratri. Where worship is done according to believer of Hindu religion. But this time Hindu Muslim and Christian, attached all religions, a “Pandal” decorated in West Bengal. Where worship was done as well as ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ (Azaan) was also offered together.
Message of unity in all religions by Dussehra
The motive behind this was, to show the vision of communal harmony and unity in diversity. But some people did not get agree with this thing and filed a case against the organizers.
A ‘Secular’ Durga Puja Pandal was built in Kolkata, West Bengal, adorned with a Temple, Mosque and Church model. Whereupon, the sound of Azan with Temple bells was also heard.
Parimal Dev, club secretary of Beliaghata 33 Pali, one of the organizers said that his aim is to increase communal harmony and brotherhood among the country. He said, ‘By making Temples, Mosques and Churches, we want to tell the people of India that we are all one, not alone.’
People may be emotionally making unique efforts to end religious hysteria among the countrymen, but unfortunately some people are hurt by this feeling.
Santanu Sinha, a local advocate, did not like this about the voice of Azan mix with Durga Pooja. He has filed a report against 7 people including the local TMC leader and organizers at Phulbagan police station regarding this.
Sinha alleges that this was done deliberately to hurt Hindu religious sentiments. Playing audio of Azan in Durga Puja Pandal is a ridiculous joke. This has been done to spread unrest and enmity.
At the same time, the organizers said that people like Sinha are unnecessarily creating ruckus about such programs. There is no need to pay attention to them.
