Ram Vilas Paswan was posthumously honored with Padma Bhushan

New Delhi/Patna: Former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian honor. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the award to his son Chirag Paswan.

Chirag Paswan tweeted and wrote that today is a day full of mixed emotions. On one hand, where the eyes are moist, the same chest is full of pride. The honor that Papa got today is very special but it is for the first time that he himself is not present with mother and me on such a special occasion.

Let us tell you that President Ram Nath Kovind honored several personalities including former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, archaeologist BB Lal, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan with prestigious Padma awards.
