Ranchi/New Delhi: Naxalite organization CPI Maoist has declared “Closed” in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh on October 17 in protest against the incident of crushing the protesting farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh.
In a press note issued by the organization’s spokesperson Manas on the letterhead of CPI Maoist, it has been told that essential services like water, medicine, ambulance, fire squad etc have been kept free from closed.
Here, the police of both the states of Jharkhand and Bihar have issued a special alert regarding the announcement of the closed by the Naxalites.
The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has been asked to issue instructions to the district police to remain vigilant, deploy special patrolling teams on the highways and ensure deployment of additional security forces in vulnerable areas affected by Naxalites.
Naxalite’s closed will start from 12 noon on October 16. Meanwhile, the Railway Police has also increased the surveillance of the railway sections passing through the Naxal-affected areas.
Let us tell you that there have been many incidents of targeting of railway tracks during the closed called by Naxalites in the past.
The Intelligence Bureau has also asked the police of the districts in Jharkhand to remain alert. In recent days, the threat of Naxalites has intensified again in the forests of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
