Congress protested at Buddha Park on Thursday against the increase in the prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders. Women workers of Congress boiled potatoes on the stove and protested by lifting gas cylinders on their heads.
Along with this, the effigy of the central government was also burnt. MLA Sumitra Hdesh, who was present on the spot, also protested by lifting the cylinder on his head.
MLA Sumitra Hdesh said that the central government is making life difficult for the common man by continuously increasing inflation. The government should roll back the increase in the prices of gas cylinders. Petroleum companies have given a big blow to the common man by increasing the prices of LPG cylinders before Holi.
Along with domestic gas, the companies have also increased the prices of commercial gas cylinders. Domestic gas prices have increased by Rs 50 in the capital Doon. Earlier the cylinder was available here for Rs 1072, but after the hike, the price has gone up to Rs 1122.

At the same time, an increase of Rs 51 has been made in the five kg gas cylinder. Earlier a five kg cylinder was available for Rs 521 but now it will be available for Rs 572.
An increase of Rs 35 has been made in 10 kg cylinder. Earlier its price was Rs 764 but now it will be available for Rs 799.
Apart from this, the price of commercial gas has also been increased by Rs 350. Till now the price of commercial gas cylinder was Rs 1812 in Doon. After the hike, it will now be available for Rs 2162.
