Bhilai: Durg police have arrested two youths with pistols and kattas. One of the two men had two live cartridges, including a pistol and a katta.
The police took action against the accused under Section 25A, 27 Arms Act.
According to Bhilai police, information was received from the informer that a young man was roaming with intent to commit a crime with a pistol.
The police team immediately rushed to the spot and apprehended the accused Tikeshwar Chandrakar alias Pintu (36), a resident of Sirsa Arts.
Police further informed that Chunni Lal Chauhan, a resident of Purana, fled on seeing the police.
The police team also chased the accused and while running for about one kilometer, the jawans also caught him.
When searched, Katta was kept in the waist. Action was taken by taking both of them to the police station.
Police said that Bhilai is a three VVIP area. Where the accused were walking around with pistols Katta and Jinda cartridges.
Police said Tikeshwar was arrested in the past for allegedly cutting the ATMs of Padumanagar and Rasamada with gas cutters.
Accused Tikeshwar told the police that he works in a company in Silatra. Is fond of keeping pistols and ‘Desi Kattas’.
He met a resident of Uttar Pradesh while working in the company and the accused bought a pistol from him.
