New Delhi: With 620 fresh Omicron cases in the India in the last 24 hours, the total cases of this variant have gone up to 5,488. Of these, 2162 people have so far recovered from the new variant. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Thursday.
According to the Health Ministry, Omicron infection has spread to 28 states and union territories.
However, Maharashtra is the worst affected by Omicron infection with 1,367 cases. According to the Health Ministry data, out of 1367 patients, 734 patients have been discharged.
With 147 Omicron cases being detected in the last 24 hours, Rajasthan continues to be the second worst-affected state with 792 cases. Delhi is at number three with 549 such cases.
Omicron cases in other states
Uttar Pradesh has 275 such cases so far.
Omicron cases have risen to 260 in Telangana.
Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have 236 and 185 cases so far.
Odisha has also recorded an increase of 169 in Omicron cases.
So far 162 cases have been reported in Haryana.
Andhra Pradesh has detected 61 cases so far.
Meghalaya has 31 cases.
Bihar and Punjab have 27-27 cases.
Jammu and Kashmir has 23 cases so far.
So far 21 and 10 cases have been reported in Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
There are 9 cases in Assam and 8 in Uttarakhand.
Chhattisgarh has 5 cases so far.
Chandigarh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands have 3-3 cases each.
Ladakh and Puducherry have 2 cases so far.
Himachal Pradesh and Manipur have one such case each.
