Coronavirus News: In the last 24 hours, 13,596 new cases of corona were registered in India, which is the lowest in 230 days. These figures were shared by the Union Health Ministry by releasing the latest update on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, 166 new deaths were recorded across the country, taking the total death toll to 4,52,290. With the recovery of 19,582 infected in the last 24 hours, this number has increased to 3,34,39,331.
India’s recovery rate is 98.12 percent, which is currently the highest since March 2020. The active cases of corona are below 2 lakh and currently stands at 1,89,694, which is the lowest in 221 days.
Presently active cases are 0.56 per cent of the total positive cases in the country. Testing capacity continues to expand across the country. A total of 9,89,493 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
More than 59.19 crore cumulative tests have been conducted in India so far. Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate at 1.37 per cent has remained below 3 per cent for the last 115 days.
The daily positivity rate at 1.37 per cent has also remained below 3 per cent for 49 days and below 5 per cent for 132 consecutive days.
With 12,05,162 vaccine doses delivered in the last 24 hours, the corona vaccination coverage in India has crossed 97.79 crores. This has been achieved through 96,88,300 sessions.
