Corona Update 3 July: In the last 24 hours in India on Saturday, 738 people died due to corona, which is the lowest since April 8 and 44,111 new cases have been reported during this period. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare gave this information on Saturday.
On 8 April, India had recorded 780 deaths due to COVID. India has crossed the mark of four lakh deaths.
With six lakh deaths, the US tops the list followed by Brazil with 5.2 lakh deaths due to coronavirus. The first death from Covid-19 in the country occurred in March last year.
On May 23, 2021, the country had recorded 4,454 deaths in 24 hours. On June 30, India recorded 817 deaths due to coronavirus, the lowest since April 10.
Saturday is the 15th consecutive day in the last two months that the death toll has remained below the 2,000-mark.
The total cases rose to 3,05,02,362 after India crossed the three crore mark on June 25. This is also the 25th consecutive day that less than one lakh new coronavirus cases were reported in India.
On June 29, 37,566 cases were reported in India, the lowest since March 18, while 42,640 cases were reported in India on June 22.
The active cases of corona have now come down to 5 lakhs. The country currently has 4,95,533 active cases and a total of 4,01,050 deaths so far.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 57,477 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking a total of 2,96,05,779 people to discharge so far.
A total of 34,46,11,291 people have been vaccinated in the country so far, of which 43,99,298 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 41,64,16,463 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till July 2. Of these, 18,76,036 samples were tested on Friday.
