New Delhi: The central government has fixed the price of a single dose of corona vaccine at Rs 250, which will be available in private hospitals for people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age with serious illnesses. Sources gave this information on Saturday.
According to sources, Covid-19 vaccination will begin from March 1. However, the price change is possible when an official announcement is made in this regard. The government has decided that people will be vaccinated free in government hospitals.
The cost-breakup for a single dose of the vaccine is being said to be Rs 150 and Rs 100 will be added as service charges and then private hospitals will charge the price from the beneficiaries.
This decision has been taken by the National Health Mission and information is being sent to all states and union territories in this regard.
After healthcare and frontline workers, the third phase of vaccination against the Kovid-19 epidemic is beginning in early March to cover 27 crore people in 10,000 government and more than 20,000 private immunization centres.
Corona Vaccine will be stored at public health facilities with cold chain points. At the same time, private hospitals and clinics will be able to get doses from public hospitals near them.
