Washington: US city Washington D.C. They were evacuated after receiving threats to blow up seven ‘public high schools’ in the afternoon. However, the police did not find any explosives from anywhere.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced that seven schools — Dunbar High School, Theodore Roosevelt High School, Ron Brown High School, KIPP DC College Preparatory, Idea Public Charter School, Seed Public Charter School and McKinley Tech High School — were threatened over the phone. Was found

The MPD said on Twitter that students from all schools were pulled out and the building was searched. So far no hazardous material has been found. Apart from these, another school ‘Friendship Public Charter School’ also received threats, but that school was closed.

A day earlier, Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, who attended the event at Dunbar High School after receiving a bomb threat during a “Black History Month” event, was evicted.

The MPD said it is investigating these cases with the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and its federal partners in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

DC Public Schools Chancellor Louise Ferreby described the threats as disturbing and said they were taken very seriously.

In a statement, Ferrby said the school system will work closely with the MPD to address any threats posed to schools, students or staff.
