Team India will practice in world’s largest stadium before Australia tour

New Delhi: India will visit Australia later this year, but before that the BCCI is considering T20 International Series with South Africa and the Indian team’s training camp.

According to reports, the Indian team, which has not been on the field for the last four months, will train at the world’s largest cricket stadium, located in Ahmedabad. The stadium is named Motera and has world class facilities.

In the BCCI meeting held last week, it was discussed that where the training camp of Team India should be organized.

During this time, the option of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore was also kept. But officials found Motera Stadium the best option.

The reason for this is clear that state-of-the-art housing facilities are available in Motera along with luxurious in-housing centers.

The National Cricket Academy was also not selected because there are a lot of active cases of corona virus.

Ahmedabad, with its facilities, is a place where we can conduct training camps in a bio-safe environment.

Be aware that the stadium was to be inaugurated earlier this year with a Namaste Trump event where the US President was scheduled to deliver a speech. But this could not happen.

The stadium is built for Rs 800 crore and has a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh people.
