Euro Cup 2020: Ukraine beat Sweden to reach quarter-finals

London: Ukraine defeated Sweden 2-1 in the Euro Cup 2020 match to reach the quarter-finals.

For Ukraine, Oleksandr Jinchenko scored in the 27th minute to give the team an early lead.

But shortly before the end of the first half, Sweden scored in the 43rd minute to make the score 1-1.

Sweden suffered a major setback in extra time when Marcus Danielsson got a red card in the 99th minute and walked off the field.

After this Sweden’s team played with 10 players.

The match was progressing towards a penalty shootout but Artem Dovbik scored to give Ukraine a 2-1 lead.

Ukraine will face England in the quarter-finals on July 3 in Rome.
