LUCKNOW: Former Joint Director of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Rajeshwar Singh, who has ruffled the opposition parties, has finally got the saffron color of the Bharatiya Janata Party in public.
He is being considered as eligible candidates from Sarojini Nagar in nine assembly seats of Lucknow. Rajeshwar Singh had bravely exposed many scams and fraud cases in the previous central and state governments, 2G spectrum allocation case, Commonwealth Games scam, Coal mine allocation scam, Westland helicopter deal, Airtel Maxis scam, Amrapali scam, Noida Ponzi scheme scam, and Gomti riverfront scam. He is also known for investigating the fraud case against Sahara chief Subrata Roy in a housing finance scheme that later sent Roy to jail. Unfortunately Singh could no longer succeeded after the BJP government came in power.
According to the rank of Rajeshwar Singh, he was likely to become the ED director, but more than a senior post, he saw his golden future in the BJP.
Rajeshwar Singh told reporters that, “There is no particular incident behind joining politics, but since my whole family is serving the people, I also had a strong desire for it. I am only for the dishonest, corrupt and criminals of politics. I want to change the perception of the people.”
Let us tell you, 1994 batch PPS Rajeshwar Singh was born in Lucknow. Educated from Kelvin Talukdar College and served as circle officer for more than five years in Gomtinagar, Metropolitan Crime Branch, Traffic.
Later, JD was posted as ED for five years. A road near Rajeshwar Singh’s ancestral house in the metropolis has been named after his father Ran Bahadur Singh.
Removing Triple Talaq, abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and construction of Ram Temple, inspired Rajeshwar and he told the reporter that at present BJP is the only democratic party in the country. It is the only party in which an ordinary worker can become the prime minister, chief minister or party president. Other parties are dynastic, casteist. The ideology of BJP is ‘Country First’.
When former ED officer turned BJP leader Rajeshwar Singh goes to seek votes, he appeals to voters not to vote for SP or else all the mafia in jails will be free. However, he did not explicitly name the mafia. He also had any information about how many mafia came out of jail in the previous SP government.
Targeting the SP, he further said that if the previous government comes to power, it will undo all the good changes and put the future of our youth in danger. However, he did not say anything about the increased unemployment, mob lynching, increased domination of education mafia and privatization in the BJP government.
