Jabalpur Fire: Massive fire in private hospital, eight dead, two in critical condition

A fire broke out at New Life Multispecialty Hospital in Chandal Bhata area of ​​Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh on Monday afternoon. In no time he took a formidable form. Many patients got burnt in this. Eight people, including office staff, have been confirmed dead. Seven are extremely serious. Five people with serious burns have been admitted to different hospitals.

 


After the fire broke out, the fire brigade reached the spot to extinguish it. Immediately senior administrative and police officers also took the lead. Jabalpur SP Siddharth Bahuguna has confirmed the death of eight people. Two people are in very serious condition. At the same time, Collector Ilaiya Raja expressed apprehension that the death toll may increase. Also, he has ordered an inquiry.



Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State Congress President Kamal Nath have expressed grief over the incident. The Madhya Pradesh government has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of those who died.

Voltage fluctuation causes fire broke

According to official sources, the condition of two people remains very critical. Those who got burnt have been admitted to different hospitals in the city. Hospital staff and patients are also among the dead. In the preliminary investigation, it is being said that there was fluctuation in the voltage. Due to this the generator caught fire and it engulfed the entire building.

Shivraj announced compensation

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on social media that sad news has been received about a horrific fire accident in a hospital in Jabalpur. I am in constant touch with the local administration and collector.

The Chief Secretary has been instructed to keep an eye on the entire matter. Every effort is being made for relief and rescue. Heart is saddened by the news of the untimely demise of precious lives in the fire accident at New Life Hospital, Jabalpur. I pray to God to give peace to the departed souls and strength to the families to bear this deep loss and speedy recovery of the injured.



In this hour of grief, the bereaved family should not consider themselves alone, I and the entire Madhya Pradesh are with the family. The state government will provide assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of kin of the dead and Rs 50,000 each to the seriously injured. The government will also bear the cost of complete treatment of the injured.

Kamal Nath also expressed grief

State Congress Committee President Kamal Nath said that news of many deaths and casualties was received due to fire in a private hospital in Jabalpur. This is a very painful incident. I pray for the peace of the souls of the dead. I wish a speedy recovery to the people who were injured in the fire.
