Kathmandu: Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli said that pending issues related to the Indo-Nepal border with India would be resolved through diplomatic methods based on historical agreements, maps and factual documents.
A week after President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the House, Oli addressed the nation on television, saying Nepal’s international relations would be based on mutual benefit and respect for each other.
Oli, who is heading the minority government, said, “Nepal’s international relations will be based on mutual benefit and respect for each other and cooperation from friendly countries will be sought on the basis of equality, justice and understanding.”
He said that the pending issues related to the border issue with India would be resolved through diplomatic methods based on historical agreements, maps and factual documents.
Oli thanked China, India and other friendly countries for helping the government in its effort to control the corona virus infection by providing the necessary medical supplies.
He said that the Government of Nepal has received 3.2 million doses of anti-Corona virus vaccines as a grant from friendly countries and purchased one million additional vaccines to launch a campaign against the spread of the Corona virus.
