Gurugram: Khattar government of Haryana state has extended lockdown across the state from one week to 7 June. In an order issued on Sunday, government said that although the infection rate has decreased, restrictions should continue to be reduced.
As per government guidelines, malls has been allowed to open with a restriction on the number of customers. The shop hours have also been extended till after noon.
However, restaurants and bars will only be available for takeaway and delivery. Cinema halls will remain closed and eateries in the mall will also remain closed.
Lockdown was ordered following an announcement by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar earlier in the day. “Though the Covid infection rate has come down, but the high alert alert Haryana needs to continue to bring down the mortality rate further,” the order said.
Standalone shops, which were divided into odd and even categories last week, can remain open throughout the day, except for the night curfew (10 am to 5 pm). Other shops will now open from 9 am to 3 pm.
