Dehradun: BJP is busy campaigning in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the discussion is now about the municipal elections to be held in Uttarakhand next year. The old Congress candidates are not able to muster up the courage for direct elections, while the Aam Aadmi Party says that in the city elections, the Congress will not get candidates even after finding candidates and like Delhi, the fight in the municipal corporations will be between BJP and AAP.
In fact, from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Delhi Municipal Corporation is campaigning fiercely in the elections. The Congress is struggling in Delhi and the Aam Aadmi Party is yearning to get power in the Municipal Corporation. Exactly one year later, similar municipal elections will be held in Uttarakhand as well.
The old candidates of Congress are not able to muster the courage to claim openly this time, and AAP is feeling that like Delhi Municipal Corporation, there will be a fight between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party in Uttarakhand. Now the question before the Congress is that if its old leaders do not gather courage, then what will happen? Lest it happen that the Congress becomes the third party in the municipal elections.
Congress said this
AAP leader Jot Singh Bisht says that like the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party will protest in the 2023 civic elections in Uttarakhand, and the Congress will not get candidates to contest the elections. On the other hand, Congress state president Karan Mahara says that this question itself is wrong. Congress and BJP are the only two parties in Uttarakhand. On the other hand, if someone does not want to contest the election, then other and second line leaders will get a chance.
BJP claims this
Actually, right now the election is of Municipal Corporation of Delhi, then from the Chief Minister to the State President are engaged. And when the elections will be held for the municipal corporations of our state, then which plan will work, it can be easily understood. BJP claims that neither Congress, nor AAP, everyone’s cards will be clear in Uttarakhand Municipal Corporations.
State spokesperson Khajan Das says that the Congress will not find candidates, and the Aam Aadmi Party is not in a position to do anything, so whether it is civic body elections, panchayat elections, Lok Sabha or assembly elections, only BJP will win. The Aam Aadmi Party could not do anything in the Uttarakhand assembly elections, and repeated defeats have broken the courage of the Congress leaders.
In such a situation, Congress and AAP are not seen to be in a position to stand in front of BJP’s huge brigade in the municipal elections going to be held next year.
