Renowned drummer Sohan Lal will also be given honorary doctorate of the university at the convocation ceremony of HNB Garhwal Central University today. As many as 82 PhD and 246 postgraduate students have registered themselves for taking degrees in the ceremony.
HNB Garhwal Central University is going to organize tenth convocation today on Thursday. Offline degrees will be distributed to 328 students in the ceremony. Former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Dr. Rajeev Kumar will distribute degrees and medals as the chief guest.
University is also conferring an honorary doctorate on renowned drummer Sohan Lal. On Wednesday evening, the participants and officers did full dress rehearsal (rehearsal in ceremonial dress) at the venue. The convocation ceremony has started at Garhwal University’s Swami Manmathan Auditorium located in Chauras.
Convocation Coordinator Prof. YP Ravani said that in the program, degrees will be distributed to postgraduate degree holders (session 2021-22) of all the three campuses (Srinagar, Pauri and Tehri) of Garhwal University and PhD degree holders of all the institutes affiliated to the university. As many as 82 PhD and 246 postgraduate students have registered themselves for taking degrees in the ceremony.
