Lucknow: Issuance of private bus permits has been banned from Uttar Pradesh (UP) Roadways to four states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
Inter-state bus services have been banned amid Corona curfew. Which is being followed by roadways but private bus operators are not.

In view of such a situation, UP Transport Commissioner has banned the issuance of permits of private buses between UP to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Transport Corporation officials were repeatedly complaining that roadways buses from UP to non-states were banned. Despite this, private bus operators are fearlessly transporting passengers from Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand and UP to non-states.

In the guidelines given to RTOs across the state, it has been said that private bus operators can run buses anywhere within UP by issuing temporary permits.
