Ever since Tesla CEO and the world’s richest man Elon Musk took over the reins of Twitter, he has been constantly in the limelight through his new decisions. Sometimes decisions like the removal of Twitter’s top officials and sometimes Blue Tick paid service have brought this micro-blogging site into the limelight.
Taking charge of billionaire Elon Musk’s Twitter, he is working day and night with the remaining employees. Musk believes that the Twitter app is very slow in many countries including India and Indonesia. Twitter Boss wants to fix this issue soon. In a massive layoff, Musk laid off nearly 90 per cent of Twitter India’s employees.
Apologizes to users for “slow” Twitter app
Earlier this week, Musk apologized to users for the Twitter app being “slower” in some areas than others. He tweeted, “I want to apologize for Twitter being super slow in many countries. The app is doing > 1000 bad batched RPCs just to render the home timeline!
Musk said he and his team are working to get the platform up to speed, but some Twitter employees believe Musk’s assessment is wrong. It seems the billionaire is in no mood to take criticism or suggestions and the engineers who went against Musk on Twitter were fired.
Now, according to Musk the Twitter app is not performing as it should in some regions including India. He said, “Twitter refreshes in about 2 seconds in the US while in India it takes about 10 to 20 seconds. It happens.” Musk also said that there are some parts of the world where Twitter takes 30 seconds to refresh. There is little useful data actually transferred.
