128 new patients infected with the coronavirus have appeared in India during last 24 hours, while 173 patients recovered during the same period. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, there are 1,998 active cases of corona virus in the country. So far 4,41,48,645 people have recovered from Corona in the country. In the last 24 hours, 1.75 lakh samples were tested across the country. So far, a total of 91.36 crore people have been tested for corona.
India’s current recovery rate is 98.8, which is very satisfactory, and the daily infection rate is just 0.9 percent. 96,200 doses of corona vaccine were given in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 220.18 crore vaccines have been given in the country so far. The union Health Ministry has termed the media report claiming that the officials of ICMR and CDSCO have accepted the ‘multiple side effects’ of the corona vaccines, as false and misleading.
The ministry has reported that like all other disease vaccines, people who received the corona vaccine experienced mild symptoms including swelling at the injection site, pain, headache, muscle pain, malaise, fever, chills, and joint pain. Research studies have also shown that vaccination has helped reduce the severity of the disease by preventing hospitalizations and deaths due to corona and that the benefits of vaccines outweigh any adverse effects. NTAGI (National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization) in India has periodically reviewed the benefits and side effects of COVID-19 vaccines and supports the above findings.
While, India appears to be in a much better condition, there are claims and counter-claims regarding the Corona epidemic and number of people infected and died in China.
