These new rules will be adopted to contest elections on Congress party ticket

After continuously defeating by Bharatiya Janata Party, the country’s second largest national party Congress has made some changes in choosing its candidates. The party now wants to defeat the BJP through “Mahatma Gandhi” footsteps of peace, non-violence and brotherhood. For this, Haryana Congress Committee has laid down some conditions for giving tickets to new applicants from the party.

New Haryana State President Kumari Selja has put certain conditions for those who wants contesting on Congress ticket for the assembly elections. For this, they have even invited forms from social workers who follow the footsteps of “Bapu”. The Haryana Congress Committee is filling the 10 point declaration form from the applicants. These points include conditions such as not using any type of narcotics & alcohol, wearing Khadi, non-social discrimination, brotherhood, abstaining from casteism and communalism.

The party can give tickets to those who follow Mahatma Gandhi’s ideologies as a priority. Kumari Selja has shared the application form on her Twitter account for candidates interested in contesting from membership campaigns and party tickets. She has written that, ‘The application form has been printed by the Haryana State Congress Committee for the new form of membership of 2018-22 and Congressmen desirous of contesting the election on the Congress Party ticket …. Let us know that the voting for the Haryana Legislative Assembly is scheduled on 21 October next month. The result of which will come on 24 October. On the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Congress is trying to change the result of election with help of his original mantras. Last time BJP won 47 out of 90 seats and Congress only 15 seats.
